Liza serves as Adjunct Lecturer in Historical Trombones at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, and is passionate about teaching students of all levels. She has been an instructor at historical performance workshops all over the country including Amherst Early Music Festival, Whitewater Early Music Festival, Mountain Collegium, Madison Early Music Festival, and Pinewoods Early Music Week. Her teaching focuses on historical performance and techniques, and she specifically aims to make historical styles accessible and applicable for both modern and period performers. Most recently, she is proud to serve as artistic liaison and historical performance contact for Brass Beyond Binaries Windy City Retreat, a workshop for women and gender-expansive trombone students in Chicago.
